Traditional Weddings are Not For Everyone

Many people still prefer a traditional wedding but themed weddings have become more and more common for today’s bride and groom. But for a select few your normal themes may not be unique enough and that’s where we start to see what some might call strange wacky themed weddings. I guess it’s all personal perception.  After all whatnot the cute or funny to one bride and groom might seem silly or odd so everyone has to make their own personal choice. Really the only thing limiting you if you choose to have a atypical themed wedding is your imagination, your budget, and getting everyone to go along with your wishes.

Unusual and Fun Wedding Themes

Here are a few of the more interesting wedding themes I’ve noticed over the last couple of years.

- The Science-Fiction Themed Wedding.  Whether you earn to Star Wars Star Trek avatar or superheroes there’s something for everyone I suppose if you got a knife characters there we can dress up in him and the costumes are prohibitively expensive, a couple could re-create just about any of their favorite science fiction movies or television shows. I will admit that a lot of these have seem to be focused around science fiction conventions.  That’s not a bad idea when you consider the MIB a lot easier to find a host of storm troopers to be in your wedding party or abandoned wild Klingons to be your groomsmen. If science-fiction is your thing and let your imagination run wild.

- Cosplay Themed Weddings – although there are some parallels to the science-fiction themed wedding, display wedding would focus more on the normal cost play ailments such as the Japanese animated characters or even videogame character’s just like the science-fiction themed wedding you’re basically open to your imagination and your budget.

- College Team Themed Weddings -if you’re anything like my friend you probably have a lot of loyalty to a specific college college sports team. I know a lot of people that never even attended college that are rabid about one particular team or another. So what about having a college sports team themed wedding? I have to admit that this is probably one of the easiest things to coordinate. The color schemes take care of themselves since you’re going with team colors. The cake, the decorations and even the wedding favors can all been focused on your particular college sports team. And even if the prospective bride and groom had different schools that they support, you can even play that against each other. How great would a Michigan versus Ohio State themed wedding where the bride was a Buckeye and the groom was a Wolverine, or Texas Longhorns versus Oklahoma sooner wedding?

- A Martial Arts Themed Wedding – if the bride and groom both share a love of martial arts you can have a martial arts themed wedding and wedding party can be dressed in whatever suspected of martial arts clothing but that discipline utilizes and with the cooperation of their sensei you could have the wedding at the local dojo.

- A Horror Wedding Theme-  A horror themed wedding could be everything from sleek and stylish to downright campy.With the popularity of vampires and zombies at the moment you could either re-create your own version of Twilight or go for funny shtick, and have a Shaun of the Dead themed wedding. I think this particular genre of wedding themes has a lot of possibilities, no matter if you’re a fan elegant vampires or an old-school horror movie maniac there are plenty of ideas for your themed wedding.

There are many many other possibilities for a creative wedding theme. If you aren’t into traditional weddings, just use your imagination and I’m sure you can think of something that would fit your own future wedding.
